beauty secrets? what’s your beauty regimen in order to maintain smooth, soft, and radiant skin?
What good products are you using in your face and in your whole body to have a pore-less, acne-free, an blemish free skin??? Aside from the beauty products, what diet (or food) is good for the skin? What beauty habits to practice???
Try natural packs every now and then. Like sandalwood powder with honey or rosewater. Or ground pulses/ lentils with milk. Tomato juice etc.
Having milk, helps in clearing the skin, so do fruits like tomato, watermelon and the likes.
NEVER go to bed without removing make up and remember to exfoliate fortnightly and to moisturise everyday. Also a must, Sunscreen, remember, sun exposure is the highest cause for skin problems and wrinkles.

i dont really have acne or anything, just a pimple every now and then but my skin isn’t perfect, it has like blemishes and stuff
If your skin’s mostly fine already definetly don’t use an acne cleanser. proactive will dry out your skin and litterally bleach it. which you don’t want after a summer of tanning. Your face will be paler than the rest of you.]
My skin is normally good some blackhead areas and zits every now and then so it sounds like your skin type. I find these rules work for me:
#1: don’t pick at any blemishes you already have. especially blackheads.
#2: Wash with a gentle cleanser and also a soft washcloth giving a little scrub but not to hard only once a day. Just wash with water only if you wash more than once a day otherwise your skin will get too dry and then overproduce oil.
#3: Drink the recommended intake of water per day. [8 8 ounce glasses] and try your hardest to make most of it plain water.
#4: Lay off any soda or other really sugary things if u eat lots of this stuff. Eat more fruits/veggies especially ones with caratenoids
#5: Do a little bit of tanning 2 days before school starts. don’t over do it though, you don’t wanna be red.
These things take time to work but they work for me. If you keep at it for the month before school you’ll probably have nice skin by then.

Why is it that skin damage is equated with beauty?
Yes,I am talking about a tan.
I am a REALLY pale strawberry blonde and figure that is the way nature intended me to be.Beauty really comes in all colors! I am 42 with no wrinkles yet because I have stayed out of the sun as much as I can.I wear a sunscreen with SPF 45 when I garden or go to the beach.
Also,and much more importantly to remember,is that 2 of my relatives who have been sun worshippers now have skin cancer!:-(
Having had skin cancer I do not look at a girl/woman with a tan and think she looks great – sure a tan is nice but it’s so bad for you I see a girl running out of a tanning salon and hope for the best for her – the sun/and sun damage may age you faster but it can also kill you!!

Has anyone ever stopped using beauty/skin products?
I want to stop using creams and all the other stuff. Has anyone ever tried this for any period of time? What did you find?
Please do not stop using beauty/skin products completely. You are bound to find the condition of your skin slowly deteriorating. Most if not all of such products do give enhancement and nutrition to the skin even if in small amounts. Besides most skin care products also protect the skin from the harmful effects of the sun. Likely effects from not using could be dry skin, freckles, brown spots, liver spots and sun burns. I have seen this happen to friends who have quit their jobs and stay at home and stop using these.
